The Edge Summer Houses

Unique atmosphere beyond any expectation.

A large waterfront property, nearby the serene beach of Agia Irini, also known as Palms beach.

Ideally located facing the spectacular Aegean sunset, the Edge Summer Houses provide a unique memorable vacation experience. A blend of minimal architecture combined with the Mediterranean landscape creates a unique atmosphere beyond any expectation. The houses are designed by the architecture group REACT ARCHITECTS using elements of the surrounding scenery as well as contemporary architecture to create and frame views of the endless sea and the movements of the sun. In a poetic moment architecture and scenery create an initiation to the summer leisure.

The complex consists of two houses and two studios.
Accommodation up to 12 guests: 6 bedrooms / 6 bathrooms (6 en suite),
+ 2 staff bedrooms / 2 bathrooms en suite.

Publications - Testimonials

The project has been featured in online architectural journals such as archdaily, architizer and designboom.
It has been widely published and has achieved awards and merits.

designboom review "The overall complex leaves the natural landscape intact as it carves to the slop of the site, adapting to the environment and dissolving the boundaries between private and public spaces."
DesignBoom, architecture & design publication
archdaily publication "Shades of blue and intense shadows dominate the views created while moving trough walls, spaces and landscape. The building is transformed into a viewing machine."

ArchDaily, Broadcasting Architecture Worldwide
archello review "The use of the archetypal form of the wall element familiar in Cycladic landscape, sometimes used as a limit and sometimes as an element of habitation."

Archello, The platform for architecture & design
This project teaches us about humility and excellence: humble enough not to compete with the natural beauty of the place; and excellence by meeting with a lot of beauty and efficiency its purpose. Beautiful pictures, worth the time it takes to appreciate it.

It still blows my mind how simplicity can bleed out and become such an art form in architecture.

Such an excellent architectural solution without being an impact on the natural view, contrary to eco-monsters of the Italian coast and beyond. Bravi!

Francesca Niero, from Rome
And this house in Greece not bad eh? Architecture the way it should be! Great housing in a great location. Does it get any better?
